Meet Dr. Marlene "Marley" Holmes, Ph.D, MSW
Dr. Holmes is the founder of The BFCA Experience LLC. As a former Division I collegiate athlete, she combines her experience and expertise to support and educate athletes. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and proud alumni of The Great Bethune-Cookman University.
Dr. Holmes earned her Graduate Degree in Social Work, which has allowed her to work within various fields, including higher education, addiction, mental health, healthcare, athletics, and more. After years of working in corporate America, she decided to pursue her doctorate in Social Work and successfully defended her dissertation October 5, 2022.
Her professional experience includes Executive Director of Admissions in Healthcare, Regional Director of Education for Tutoring and College Readiness, Athletic Transition, Instructional Design, and more.
Dr. Holmes is dedicated to sharing her experience and research to empower all athletes to tap into who they are underneath the uniform. She recognizes the urgency to empower athletes and the significance of representation for Black athletes.
